Welcome to the 4DH Ranch!
About 4DH Horses

Welcome to the 4DH Ranch where we breed cutting and ranch-work horses. Our horses are bred to cut and do ranch work like the foundation stock they are decended from. We stress breeding towards athletic ability, confirmation and willing nature. Our brood mares are selected on the basis of disposition and deep foundation bloodlines. The selection of our broodmares is a 20 year process. We pride ourselves on the blood-lines of our older mares and take particular care of them and in return we are rewarded with foals with blood-lines normally seen on horses 10-15 years older.
We presently stand three stallions,
Heilwin Gold - an AQHA own son of Doc O'Lena and
Sug Skeet N Stars - an AQHA own son of Doc Sug and the last foal of Skeeto Bite.
Poco San Eagle - An APHA Black and White of Q Ton Eagle & Poco Bueno decent.
Included in our broodmare band are own daughters and grand-daughters of Dry Doc, Tim O Lena, Croton Oil, Doc's Hotrodder, Doc's Sug, Mr Gold O'Lena and High Brow Hickory, to name a few. When we tell you that a horse is bred with one or more of these horses on the papers, they will be on the papers, not off the paper five generations away.

Listen When the horses talk to me,
They tell me many things,
The whats and hows of yesterday,
Why the Nighthawk sings.
I learn the meaning of the dance,
Between animals and men,
They inspire me to take the chance,
To look back on where I’ve been.
On this plain where we live,
In the circle at the center,
We receive more than we give,
When privileged to enter.
So I close my eyes in Trust and walk,
And listen, to the horses talk.
